Personality
On the outside Charlie can be very charming and friendly, she is also cunning and a good liar which is handy when she needs to convince people that she's normal. Charlie is not normal, far from it actually, and she carries this knowledge like a secret burden. She rarely reveals what she is capable of and can come off as a very serious during difficult times.

Since she lives on the run most of the time Charlie is adventous and enjoys doing things on the spur of the moment. She adapts to change well and isn't afraid to take dangerous risks when necessary. That being said, Charlie doesn't easily endanger the lives of others and can be protective of her friends.

Backstory

Charlie's story starts with her parents Andy and Vicky McGee who participated in a government experiment during college. Both of her parents were given a drug called Lot Six which had been proven to "alter the subject's chromosomes and pituitary gland". After receiving the drug her parents developed psychic abilities; Andy became a telepath who could control the minds of others while Vicky was limited telekinetic. The pair married after meeting during the experiment and shortly had Charlene McGee who quickly showed signs of inheriting the affects of Lot Six. Unlike her parents, Charlie's abilities manifested as pyrokinesis althought there were signs that her abilities could progress. When the government became aware of Charlie's talents they began surveillance on the family for several years.

Eventually the Government run operation known as The Shop sent agents to retrieve Charlie for further experimentation. In the process her mother, Vicky McGee, was murdered. Andy McGee managed to stop the agents from kidnapping Charlie before taking his daughter and going on the run. The father and daughter manage to evade capture for three years before the shop finally catches up to them at Manders farm. In order to protect herself and her father, Charlie lets loose her dangerous powers and kills several agents.

After the Manders farm incident, Charlie and Andy McGee manage to evade the shop for seven months before being captured by John Rainbird, a black opps agent who worked for the shop and has a sick obsession with Charlie McGee. The pair are held prisoner for six months where they are put through experiments. For the most part Charlie refuses to use her powers until she is manipulated by John Rainbird who poses as a friendly janitor. Eventually Andy is able to get in contact with Charlie to form an escape plan but is foiled when John Rainbird meets the pair at their planned meeting place. He shoots Andy McGee, giving Charlie's father a fatal wound but before Andy dies he instructs his daughter to "burn it all down".

Charlie honors her father's last request by destroying the shop headquaters and killing anyone who gets in her way as she escapes. She servely burns Rainbird, believing that she has killed him before going back to the Manders farm. The Manders take Charlie for a couple of years until Charlie realizes she's too dangerous to remain with the elderly couple. At the age of 14 Charlie takes to the streets as her powers begin to increase. To survive she steals, lies, and manipulates others. When Charlie is 20 years old she manages to settle in one place long enough to get a job at the local university library under an assumed name.

She decides to use her position to research how to surpress her pyrokinetic abilities when she meets Vincent, a employee of a research firm that has been hired to track down the past participates of the Lot Six experiment. While Vincent originally believed that the purpose of tracking down these people is to pay them a settlement in fact it is actually a guise used by sho agents in order to kill the participates. Together Charlie and Vincent discover the truth and realize that Charlie's old enemy John Rainbird is not only alive but also running another experiment called Lot 23.

Eventually Vincent gets captured by Rainbird and Charlie must go rescue him but tradgety strikes again when John Rainbird murders Vincent. In retaliation, Charlie takes down the members of the Lot 23 experiment before finally killing Rainbird. With Vincent dead and more shop agents on her trail, Charlie has hit the road again.

Strengths

· Pyrokinesis This is Charlie's strongest ability which allows her to start fires with her mind. These fires can be large or small and set at a distance. At the moment Charlie is learning to fine tune this ability in order to learn how to generate heat alone without setting fires.

· Telekinesis Her second strongest ability that is inherited from her mother. In the past it has only been used in conjunction with her pyrokinesis and never alone but Charlie is working on learning how to use her telekinesis without starting fires.

· Telepathy Extremely weak, this ability was inherited from her father. Charlie's telepath skills are minimal and represent no real threat. She can pick up on emotions and has intuition but she doesn't know how to use this ability nor does she know that she has it.

Weaknesses

· Guilt Charlie has a lot of guilt when it comes to her parents death and feels like she is responsible. Because the people she loved died due to contact with her, Charlie feels she cannot be close to anyone without the risk of hurting them.

· Control While Charlie has developed in her abilities she still has trouble controlling herself, particularly when she's emotional or under physical stress. Charlie has also come to realize her powers are harder to control when she's aroused so she's not able to have prolonged sexual contact with anyone because she may burn them.

· Wild child Due to being an orphan and living on her own for so long, Charlie has become reckless with her personal safety. Her 'bigger-than-life' attitude partly stems from her abilities which make Charlie think she's impenetrable and can cause her to make foolish mistakes.

Greatest Fear
Charlie's greatest fear is that she'll lose control of her powers and seriously harm/kill the people she's closest to.
